These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and TalkFixAI, operated by Chetan Kerhalkar (“TalkFixAI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your use of the TalkFixAI mobile application and related services (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1.Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements.
2.The service
TalkFixAI is a voice-first assistant that provides step-by-step, do-it-yourself repair and troubleshooting guidance for everyday items (such as appliances, home networking, plumbing, and electronics). You can interact by voice, text, or by sharing a photo of a problem. Some features run on your device; others use cloud-based AI. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3.Your account
You can use core features as a guest. Some features require an account, which
you can create using Apple, Google, or email sign-in. You are responsible for
keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use. You may
delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account.
4.AI guidance & safety disclaimer
The App generates guidance using artificial intelligence. This guidance is provided for general informational purposes only and:
- is not professional, licensed, engineering, electrical, plumbing, medical, legal, or safety advice;
- may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or inappropriate for your specific situation, equipment, or local codes and regulations;
- should be independently verified before you act on it.
You assume all risk for any repair, action, or decision you make based on the App. Repairs can involve serious hazards — including electricity, gas, water, heat, chemicals, sharp tools, heights, and heavy objects — that can cause property damage, injury, or death.
Do not attempt work that is beyond your skill, that is unsafe, or that requires a licensed professional or permit. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable safety guidelines, turn off power/gas/water where appropriate, and stop and consult a qualified professional if you are unsure. For gas, high-voltage, structural, or other high-risk work, use a licensed professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
5.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
- attempt to use the App to create dangerous devices or to cause harm;
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or underlying models, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
- interfere with, overload, or disrupt the App or its infrastructure;
- upload content that infringes others’ rights or violates any law; or
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our permission.
6.Your content
“Your Content” means the questions, voice input, photos, and other information you submit. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process and use Your Content solely to operate and improve the App and provide guidance to you (including sending it to our AI service providers to generate responses). You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
7.Subscriptions & payments
The App is free to use with ads. TalkFixAI Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (offered monthly or annually) that removes ads and unlocks additional features such as enhanced cloud AI and premium voices.
- Billing. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store (or Google Play). Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing & canceling. You can manage or cancel in your
store account settings (on iOS:
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or in-app via the subscription screen). Canceling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the current paid period. - Refunds. Purchases are handled by the app store and are subject to the store’s refund policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices; changes apply to future periods and, where required, only after notice and your consent as handled by the app store.
8.Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by TalkFixAI and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
9.Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (for example, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, payments, and AI providers). Your use of the App may be subject to those parties’ terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.
10.Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP AND ALL GUIDANCE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY GUIDANCE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITUATION.
11.Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TALKFIXAI AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, PROPERTY, OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP OR ANY GUIDANCE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TalkFixAI and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13.Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, 8, and 10–15) will survive.
14.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your place of residence.
